About Forró de Lá
Forró de Lá is a quintessential representative of forró — a festive Brazilian music genre — in Quebec. Founded in 2022 by Lara Klaus (zabumba and vocals), Rodrigo Simões (7-string guitar and vocals), Gabriel Schwartz (flute, pandeiro, and vocals), and Dominique Poirier (accordion), the group has quickly made its mark on the local scene by bringing the spirit of Brazilian celebrations and social dance music to audiences, including influences from quadrille and Saint-Jean festivities.
About DJ Gorrilhas
Forro na neve organizes events that bring together dancers and lovers of forró, the traditional music of northeastern Brazil. Behind the turntables, DJ Gorrilhas spins vinyl records to introduce audiences to rare albums and songs by forró legends such as Luiz Gonzaga and Dominguinhos, offering an original and authentic musical experience. A night not to be missed!
