Formed in the heart of Montreal in 2016, Sonido Pesao is much more than just a band. Blending Latin, urban, and rap influences, their unique sound reflects the diversity of its members, who come from different Latin American countries as well as Montreal itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Powerful, hard-hitting, and rooted in the raw energy of working-class neighbourhoods, their music transcends borders to create an unforgettable sonic experience. Their live performances overflow with contagious energy, generating an explosive atmosphere that defies conventional categorization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Canicule Tropicale<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 2010, this Montreal-based party brings together hundreds of dancers every month in search of rare afro, Caribbean, Latin, and Brazilian grooves. Through their travels, La Mano Peluda and Phil Noel \u2014 creators and DJs behind Canicule Tropicale \u2014 are constantly hunting for forgotten records. Their digging territory is vast: Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Asia\u2026 The records they uncover also come from another era, spanning from the 1950s to the 1990s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Canicule Tropicale<\/em> has welcomed many major figures from the tropical music scene behind the decks, including Quantic, Emile Omar (Radio Nova\/Tropical Discoteq), Beto (Soundway), Frederik Lavik (Soundway\/Afro7), Paulo Goncalves (Superfly Records), Rickard Masip (Soundway), and Vik Sohonie (Ostinato Records), to name just a few.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
