In partnership with Vision Méditerranéenne, Funambules Médias and the Institut Italien de Culture Montréal, gather with family and friends on Mondays and Wednesdays from June to July to enjoy these screenings.

In 1900, Lili d’Alengy, a famous Parisian courtesan, has a shameful secret – her daughter Tina, born with a handicap. Unwilling to deal with a child who threatens her career, she decides to leave Paris for Rome. There, she meets Maria Montessori, a medical doctor who is developing a revolutionary learning method for children then known as “deficient”. But Maria is also hiding a secret: a child born out of wedlock. Together, the two women will help each other win their place in this man’s world and make history.

When Mina falls seriously ill and a sensitive young apprentice joins their workshop, the delicate balance of their lives is gently but irrevocably upset. As emotions surface and truths are revealed, the bond between Halim and Mina is put to the test.

Irène returns to her hometown to look after her autistic brother, Omar. But he refuses to live with her, determined to preserve his autonomy. As the days go by, this project transforms not only Omar, but also other participants, all in search of confidence and freedom. Between challenges, laughter and emotions, Irène discovers a new way of loving and growing herself.

After retiring from the priesthood, Don Costantino retreats to a dilapidated lighthouse in southern Italy in search of solitude. His peace is short-lived when unexpected guests, including his ex-wife and a host of eccentric characters, arrive, each hiding their own secrets. As the lighthouse is transformed into a makeshift refuge, a chaotic yet comforting community forms. Old wounds surface, but so do opportunities for redemption and new beginnings.
